Comedy, Certificate: Passed Nevertheless, it is fun to see Karloff put back in the frame with his Frankenstein costar Edward Van Sloan. When the prison authorities discover Dr. Garth, who doesn't remember committing the murders, and the two bodies, they believe that the wandering prisoner killed Dr. Howard and attempted to kill Dr. Garth. Karloff himself stands the test of time, and is satisfying as the mad scientist, giving this horror flick its appeal. Everything flows smoothly right up to the final curtain, and you are left with the feeling of having watched a "full-length" feature--a truly astonishing achievement! Nick Grinde directs again.
