As a longtime follower of Rick Steves and a lover of Europe, I enjoyed perusing this book. My politics are pretty clear. Another recycled line is the smelly cheese is like the feet of angels. In a nutshell, in a year where travel between the U.S. and Europe is not really feasible, this book is a good way to stay connected to European travel dreams. This book is great for a new armchair traveler, but I liked his previous book better (Postcards From Europe)...maybe because I heard the stories for the first time 20 years ago. This book brings back so many memories while at the same time giving me new things to think about. But for a fan (like me) who has seen the shows and read previous books, this is just one more chance for Steves to haul out the same tired lines about some of his favorite places.
